SPARC Molecular Analysis Services

SPARC Molecular Analysis is operated on a fee-for-service basis by experienced, professional staff that work closely with researchers from early consultation and planning phases, through to delivery of data, data analysis, and preparation of publications and grant proposals. While the SPARC BioCentre (SickKids Proteomics, Analytics, Robotics & Chemical Biology Centre) officially opened in February 2014 on the top floor of the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning (PGCRL), it has evolved through the coalescence of core facilities at SickKids, and has been in continuous operation for more than 25 years. Its longest running antecedent was the Advanced Protein Technology Centre (APTC), which merged with the Signaling Identification Network (SIDNET) facility in 2011. We now operate as SPARC Molecular Analysis and SPARC Drug Discovery. Through generous CFI-funding, SPARC Molecular Analysis is able to provide researchers at SickKids and beyond with the following state-of-the-art services:

• Mass Spectrometry; Proteomics
• Amino Acid Analysis
• Cell Metabolism Analysis
